Holy heck, it's been forever since I've been on here/ Hopefully I'm going to change that.

we're now about 2 days out from Nebraskon, I leave tomorrow sometime after work! For once i'm not still working on my own costumes down to the wire, instead i've been giving sewing instruction to some old friends. We set up a sewing workshop in my friend Sarah's back room at the begining of the week to knock out their costumes, i've been there til about 1:30am everyday helping Jen with her Riza Hawkeye cosplay, & it's turning out Amazingly! she's so adorably excited about the pants she made, she's very much a novice sewer & the pattern for them was difficult & confusing...remember folks if you're a novice you want to try to steer clear of the Historical Replica patterns, those things are redik complicated.

funny enough most the girls i'm heading out for con with this weekend were in my girl scout troupe in Jr high, so i've known them all for a good 15 years or so,  i'm so glad i was able to reconnect with them & introduce them to the awesomeness that is conventions!


i think i'm going to cut back on cons a bit, take it down to just Naka, Akon, Afw, Motaku & Nebkon. I need to start putting money away because it's going to take serious money to get things off the ground for what Cass, Mike & Koto & i have started planning. we're looking into buying a 15,000 sq ft building downtown to convert to Living, workshop & retail space within the next year. & once off the ground out buisness will be the cosplayer's best friend carrying costumes (on a commission basis) SFX makeup, some wigs ect. there will also be a Cafe & bar as well
